Ugandan heavyweight boxer Herbert Matovu emerged as the winner of the Boxer of September accolade following his impressive knockout victory in the Africa Boxing Union Regional Title match. Matovu took on Tanzania’s Kheri Mbaruku in a highly anticipated bout held at YMCA Kampala on September 7, 2024, as part of the Sweet Science Fights organized by Nara Promotions.

Matovu’s performance was nothing short of dominant, knocking out Mbaruku in the first round.
