County Commissioner Emmanuel Taban Seme has called on lawmakers in Yei River County to develop laws aimed at tackling youth gang activity.
Speaking during the reopening of the county legislative council, Taban said the issue of young people forming gangs has become a growing concern.
He stressed that maintaining law and order is not the responsibility of the commissioner alone but also requires legislative action.
“From today, you are part of the whole government of Yei,” he told lawmakers, urging them to pass laws that will guide the county.
